Description Lockmaster 35/92 Unsprung Split Spindle 3 Hook 4 Roller PVC Multipoint Lock is fitted into uPVC doors that use a 35mm backset and 92mm handle centres. It’s there to replace failed Yale Lockmaster centre cases in doors where you lift the lever to throw the hooks and rollers first. You can then turn the key to lock the cylinder for a secure lock. The 92/62mm centre layout suits split spindle handle sets that operate the latch and locking points separately. This layout is chosen when the internal lever must not retract the external handle without a key. The 16mm square end faceplate runs the full 2200mm length of the door edge, so the whole lock is carried on one continuous strip. Above and below the gearbox you’ve got two additional hooks, and along the strip there are four rollers that pull the sash tight into the keeps. On top of that, anti-lift pins engage into frame keeps to resist upward movement on the hinge side. When you lift the lever, all three hooks throw into the frame. As that happens, the rollers cam into their keeps and compress the seal, so you get proper pull-in and compression. The 35mm backset positions the follower and cylinder to suit standard uPVC doors, while the 92mm PZ lines up the handle spindle and cylinder centre. The 62mm lower centre matches the split spindle arrangement. We recommend servicing the hooks, rollers and latch and lubricating regularly to keep everything moving freely. If the lever starts to feel stiff when lifting, then the keeps need checking. Fixings through the faceplate and centre case should also be inspected to maintain correct compression.
