Description The Winkhaus 45/92 Cobra 2 Hook 20mm Faceplate Radius Ends Composite Multipoint Lock secures composite and timber doors prepared for a 45mm backset multipoint system. It replaces centre case locks that use a euro cylinder with 92mm handle centres. The latch holds the door closed once used, while turning the key throws the deadbolt from the centre case. In addition, lifting the handle engages the hook locking points positioned along the door edge. Installation is also a breeze. A 20mm faceplate runs the full length of the mechanism and fits into a radius end recess. The centre case contains the latch and deadbolt and aligns with the primary frame keep. Furthermore, a hook locking point sits above the centre case and another sits below, and these hooks pull the door tightly into the frame when the handle is lifted. At the centre of the mechanism, the handle spindle passes through the centre gearbox and drives the locking system through lift lever. When the handle is raised, the hooks project from the lock strip and move into the frame keeps. For accurate positioning along the strip, the top hook sits 740mm above the centre case, while the bottom hook sits 750mm below the centre case. Consequently, the hook-to-hook measures 1490mm, and the full faceplate length measures 1770mm. We also recommend routinely servicing both hooks, making sure they enter the frame keeps without resistance. In addition, apply light lubrication to the latch and hook mechanisms during maintenance visits. And for continued operation, confirm the cylinder retaining screw remains tight within the centre case, and keep on top of the door alignment if the handle lift becomes stiff or does not fully engage.
