Description The Winkhaus 45/92 Cobra 2 Hook 16mm Split Spindle PVC Multipoint Lock is made for composite and timber doors prepared for a 45mm backset multipoint lock. It replaces centre gearbox systems that use a euro cylinder and 92mm handle centres. The latch holds the door shut during normal use, while the deadbolt secures the centre case when the key turns. In addition, lifting the handle drives the hook locking points along the strip. For correct installation within the door edge, a16mm faceplate runs the length of the lock and fits into a radius end recess. The centre case contains the latch and deadbolt and aligns with the main frame keep. Furthermore, one hook sits above the centre case and another sits below. These hooks pull the door tightly into the frame once the handle is lifted. At its centre, the handle passes through the centre gearbox and drives the locking system when lifted. The euro cylinder operates the deadbolt inside the centre case, thereby providing key-operated security. For accurate positioning along the strip, the top hook sits 735mm above the centre case, while the bottom hook sits 755mm below the centre case. As a result, the hook-to-hook distance measures 1490mm, and the overall faceplate length measures 1770mm. To maintain your lock for an extended period, we recommend that you routinely service both hooks while making sure they enter their frame keeps without resistance. In addition, apply light lubrication to the latch and hook during maintenance.
