Description The GU Ferco 50mm 2 Small Hook Multipoint Door Lock is fitted to composite and timber doors where a lift-lever multipoint strip is needed with a 50mm backset and 70mm PZ centres. It made as the ideal replacement for GU Ferco centre cases and keeps where the handle lifts to throw two small hooks in addition to the central deadbolt. This makes it the correct choice when existing frame keeps line up to the 1770mm hooks configurations. Visually, the 20mm radius end faceplate runs through the full 2150mm length of the door edge. At the centre position the lock case houses the latch and deadbolt with a single spindle follower set to 70mm. This positions the spindle and euro cylinder on 70mm PZ centres, while lifting the lever engages link rods that drive the two small hooks into their respective frame keeps. Lifting the lever engages the hooks before the key turns the euro cylinder to throw the deadbolt. The single spindle follower drives the latch through the handle set. The 50mm backset positions the spindle and cylinder further from the door edge to suit composite and timber doors. The centre lock box contains both latch and deadbolt in one case. This GU Ferco does not accept extensions so the overall length and hook positions must match the existing door preparation. We recommend regular lubrication of the latch, deadbolt, and hooks to maintain smooth operation and reduce internal wear and tear. Keep alignment should be checked if the lever feels tight during operation. Fixings through the faceplate should be inspected to maintain correct compression against the keeps. And lastly, hook engagement should be confirmed after installation to ensure full throw into the frame keeps.
