Description The Winkhaus Stv-Thunderbolt 45mm 5 Deadbolt 16mm Radius End Faceplate Multipoint Door Lock is engineered for uPVC, composite, and timber doors prepared for a 45mm backset multipoint lock. The lock is designed to work with euro cylinders and 92mm PZ centres, allowing straightforward replacement of existing multipoint centre cases. During everyday use the latch holds the door closed, while turning the key projects the main deadbolt from the gearbox. Raising the handle then drives the additional deadbolts positioned along the strip. Along the door edge, a 16mm faceplate runs the full length of the lock and fits into a radius end of 16mm. The centre case houses the latch and primary deadbolt and aligns with the main frame keep. Additional deadbolts are positioned above and below this central section, and once the handle is lifted these bolts move outward to secure the door firmly into the frame. Inside the centre gearbox, the handle spindle passes through a single follower that transfers the lift lever movement to the locking system. As the handle rises, the deadbolts extend from the lock strip and locate into their corresponding frame keeps. For installation reference, the top deadbolt sits 735mm above the centre case while the bottom deadbolt sits 755mm below it. In total, the entire lock has an overall measurement of 1770mm.
