Description The Yale Lockmaster 45/92 3 Deadbolt Composite Multipoint Lock is used to secure uPVC, composite, and timber doors that are prepared for a 45mm backset and a 92mm PZ handle position. It replaces existing Lockmaster locks where three deadbolts engage into the frame, spreading the locking points across the door height for improved resistance. The centre case contains the main latch and deadbolt, while two additional deadbolts reinforce the lock at fixed positions along the strip. A 16mm square-ended faceplate runs the full length of the lock and fixes into the door edge, which holds the entire strip in place. The centre case lines up with the handle preparation, and both the latch and the main deadbolt operate from this central gearbox. One additional deadbolt is positioned 703mm above the centre case, while another sits 732mm below it for added security. When the lever handle is lifted, the centre gearbox drives the deadbolts outwards and into the frame keeps. Once they are fully thrown, the euro cylinder secures the centre deadbolt in a locked position. The lock uses a single spindle follower for handle operation. The distance between the two outer deadbolts measures 1435mm, and the overall strip length measures 2200mm. keep in mind this lock is non-extendable, meaning the strip length cannot be adjusted and must match the existing door. We also recommend that you periodically lubricate the latch and deadbolts which helps maintain smooth movement through the centre gearbox. The handle lift should fully project each deadbolt into its keep, and if resistance develops that means the alignment between the bolts and the frame keeps may need adjustment to restore its smooth operation.
