Description The Yale Lockmaster 45/92 2 Hook Brown Faceplate Composite Multipoint Lock is built for composite and timber doors that use a euro cylinder with a lever handle set. It’s intended as a direct replacement for Yale Lockmaster mechanisms using a 45mm backset and 92/62mm centre. Operating through a lift lever, the hooks and the deadbolt engage the frame keeps as soon as the handles are raised. After that, the key drives the central deadbolt to complete the locking sequence. This ensures the door is secured at multiple points along the sash. The 44mm square end brown faceplate runs the full 2045mm length of the door edge, which means the strip needs to match as the mechanism does not extend. The centre case sits in the middle position of the strip, and from there the latch and deadbolt project out of the central gearbox. Above and below that centre case also sits the two hooks, giving you additional engagement points into the frame. Additionally, the upper hook sits 720mm from the centre case, while the lower hook sits 770mm from the centre case. This gives you a hook-to-hook measurement of 1490mm. The 45mm backset positions the spindle and cylinder correctly for standard composite door preparations, and the dual spindle follower separates internal and external handle operation. This means each side works independently as it was made to be. Because the lock does not extend, the overall length must match the existing 2045mm preparation exactly. For ongoing performance, regular lubrication of the latch, hooks, and deadbolt will allow the lock to continue operating smoothly. At the same time, keep the alignment between the hooks and the frame keeps tight, as that prevents preload on the gearbox. It’s also worth checking the fixing screws through the faceplate to make sure the strip remains securely fixed into the door edge.
