Description Lockmaster 35/92 3 Hook 20mm Faceplate Timber & Composite Multipoint Lock is designed for timber and composite doors built with a 35mm backset and 92mm handle centres. It is typically used to replace failed centre gearboxes in doors where the lever must be lifted to throw three hooks before the key turns the cylinder. The 92/62mm centre arrangement suits split spindle handle sets commonly used on composite doors. This strip is selected where a 20mm faceplate matches the existing routed channel in the door edge. The 20mm square end faceplate runs the full 2200mm length of the lock. The centre case sits centrally on that strip, carrying the latch and the primary hook. From there, one hook is positioned above the gearbox and one hook is positioned below. This is so all three locking points spread the load through the height of the door. Each hook lines up with its corresponding frame keep, which is what secures the door properly once thrown. In terms of spacing, the hook-to-hook measurement is 1490mm to suit the keeps. The top hook sits 720mm from the centre case, and the bottom hook sits 770mm from the centre case. A Euro cylinder also passes through the centre case to control the locking points. This strip is also non-extendable, which means it’s intended specifically for fixed 2200mm preparations. For ongoing reliability, regular maintenance should include lubrication of the latch and hook bolts, so they continue to move freely. If resistance is felt when lifting the lever, then the keeps alignment should be checked. Faceplate fixings should also be inspected regularly to prevent movement in timber or composite doors.
