Description GU Ferco 28/70 & 35/70 Four Roller PVC Multipoint Locks are supplied as two like-for-like replacement multipoint door locks for uPVC doors that operate with a Euro Cylinder and lift-lever. They are chosen when a door has become stiff, the rollers no longer pull the sash into the seals, or if the strip needs replacing without changing the door’s handle and cylinder layout. The selection is made by matching the door profile, with one lock using a 28mm backset and the other using a 35mm backset. Both keep 70mm (PZ) centres to maintain the same handle-to-cylinder position. Both locks fit as full-length edge strips with a 16mm square-end faceplate. Four rollers are spaced along the strip, so the door is pulled into the frame at several points rather than being forced at one end. The square-ended faceplate style matches many existing GU Ferco installations and avoids leaving the door edge looking mismatched against the keeps. Because the strip runs continuously down the edge, it keeps the installation looking like a straight swap rather than a change of hardware. Both locks are designed for uPVC doors and use a Euro Cylinder lock type with lift-lever to engage the multipoint lock. Each lock has a centre lock box position with latch-only locking features, and both use a single spindle for standard lever handle sets. Shared format includes a 16mm faceplate size, a square-end faceplate type, an overall length of 2200mm, 4 rollers, and no extendable sections. The 28mm backset lock has 70mm (PZ) centres and a 1400mm roller-to-roller measurement, while the 35mm backset lock has 70mm (PZ) centres and a 1405mm roller-to-roller measurement. To keep both locks operating smoothly, we recommend applying light lubrication to the moving parts and gearbox periodically. Heavy grease should be avoided because it can trap dirt which makes the lock feel stiff over time. If the handle lift becomes heavy, the door and keeps should be checked for alignment so the rollers are not being forced into place. Routine checks should confirm that the rollers travel freely and the door closes correctly on the latch.
