Description The Gu Ferco 35/92 & 28/92 3 Deadbolt Original Multipoint Lock is used when an existing GU Ferco strip needs replacing on a uPVC, composite, or timber door. It operates on a lift lever system, meaning the handle lift throws the locking points before the key secures the Euro cylinder permanently. The centre lock box contains a latch and deadbolt to hold the door closed. And to retain handle and cylinder cut-outs, it comes supplied in both 28mm and 35mm backset, allowing you to accurately match your existing locking points. Furthermore, this lock has an overall length of 2285mm. it also has a 16mm square end faceplate that runs through the edge of the door for a clean and consistent finish. The central gearbox aligns with 92mm PZ centres to match common handles and cylinder positions. Its proportions are intended to sit directly into existing cut-outs where the same system was previously installed. Choosing between the 28mm and 35mm backset ensures the spindle and Euro cylinder sit correctly in relation to the handle apertures and door. The single spindle configuration supports lift lever operation and provides direct control of the locking points. In addition to the central deadbolt, two further deadbolts are positioned 736mm above and 870mm below the centre case. This offers a 1606mm measurement between the outer deadbolts, spreading security evenly along the door height. For long term performance, we recommend lubricating the gearbox and moving components. Heavy grease should be avoided because it can attract dirt and restrict internal movement. When carrying out replacement, the Euro cylinder and handles should be checked for wear and tear to maintain proper alignment. Regular inspection of fixings and bolt engagement helps preserve consistent locking performance over time.
