Description GU Ferco 35mm 3 Deadbolt Multipoint Door Lock is made as a replacement for an existing three-bolt GU Ferco lock that has worn out or become difficult to operate in the door. When the lever handle is lifted, three deadbolts project evenly into their respective frame keeps to secure the sash along its height. The lock can then be secured with a key through a euro cylinder set on 92mm PZ centres. It is used primarily where straight bolt throw and reinforced keeps are preferred over cam rollers or hook locking points. With a 35mm backset positioning the spindle and cylinder correctly, this lock is the correct replacement option for uPVC, composite, and timber doors already prepared for that measurement. Visually, the strip is finished with a 16mm square end faceplate that runs the full 2285mm length of the door edge. At the centre sits the main lock case with the latch and primary deadbolt aligned to 92mm centres for a euro cylinder and single spindle handle set. From that centre case, a secondary deadbolt is positioned 565mm above and another 660mm below, giving a 1225mm spread between the outer locking points. The centre case operates on a lift lever, meaning the handle must be lifted to throw all three deadbolts before the key is turned to secure them in place. The 35mm backset positions the spindle and cylinder correctly for slimmer doors typically made of uPVC and composite. With a latch and deadbolt in the central gearbox and two additional deadbolts linked through the strip, all the locking points will engage together from the single spindle operation. The lock is also extendable, meaning you can adjust it to suit certain door heights when required. We recommend periodic maintenance of the lock by lubricating the gearbox and bolt channels. Deadbolt projection should be checked to confirm it fully engages into the keeps. Faceplate fixings should also be inspected periodically to ensure they remain secure.
