Description Gu Ferco 35/92 and 28/92 2 Hook Rhino Multipoint Locks are fitted when a door needs strip replacement with hooks engagement and central locking. Suited for uPVC, composite and timber doors that use 92mm (PZ) centres, they are normally chosen when the original layout needs replacing rather than changing the handle or cylinder positions. Both locks run as full-length edge strips with a 16mm square-end faceplate that sits neatly in uPVC, composite and timber door. The hooks also sit above and below the centre case so the door gains additional fixing points into the keeps. The square-ended faceplate format keeps alignment straightforward along the door edge which matches many existing GU Ferco hardware. With the hooks working as the main reinforcement points, this strip acts as a practical replacement that doesn’t alter the look of the door edge once installed. Both locks suit uPVC, composite and timber doors with a Euro Cylinder lock that operates through a lift-lever. Each has a centre lock box position with latch & deadbolt locking features, and both use a 16mm faceplate size with a square-end faceplate. Both locks include 2 additional Rhino hooks, with a 1228mm hook-to-hook measurement, a 568mm top hook to centre measurement, and a 660mm bottom hook to centre measurement. Both strips measure 2285mm in overall length. The 28/92 option has a 28mm backset, 92mm (PZ) centres, and a single spindle layout, while the 35/92 version has a 35mm backset, 92mm (PZ) centres, and a split spindle layout. To keep the lock operating smoothly, we recommend applying light lubrication to the gearbox and moving components periodically and cycle the handle to distribute it. Avoid heavy grease as it will trap dirt inside the strip and make the hooks slow to engage over time. Also, wipe the faceplate clean during servicing and address door adjustment early. Poor door alignment is a common cause of heavy handling and premature wear and tear.
