Description The Yale 45/92 YS170 16mm Faceplate Composite Multipoint Lock is made as replacement multipoint strips where the handle and cylinder sit on a 92mm centres. This lock positions the spindle 45mm back from the door edge. This allows it to match standard doors made from uPVC, composite, and timber fitted with a multipoint locking strip. To correctly position the lock along the door edge, a 16mm square end faceplate runs the length of the strip. The centre case which sits in the middle of the strip also contains the latch and the main hook. One hook sits above the centre case while the other sits below it along the strip. The hook measures 1420mm between the top and bottom locking points, which makes it compatible with a range of door frame keeps. Once the lever is lifted the hooks will engage outward and into the frame. additionally, a euro cylinder passes through the centre case and secures the lock after lift lever engages. The handle spindle passes through the centre case at 92mm PZ using a split spindle, which grants controlled handle operation. For installation reference, the top hook sits 675mm above the centre case while the bottom hook sits 745mm below it, resulting in an overall measurement of 2200mm. We recommend regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance. In addition, lightly lubricating the latch and hook bolts will helps maintain smooth lift lever movement for longer.
