Description The Maco Passive 35/92 PVC French Multipoint Lock is used on the passive leaf of French door sets prepared for a 35mm backset and a 92mm PZ centres. This lock is fitted to the secondary door, which closes first before the active leaf engages the full multipoint lock. The centre case contains the internal gearbox that allows the slave leaf to be held securely in the frame. This allows the active door to close against a fixed and secure passive leaf. Additionally, a 16mm square-ended faceplate runs along the door edge and carries the lock inside the door. This faceplate fixes the strip into the door edge and keeps the gearbox correctly aligned within the stile. Along the strip, the mechanism contains the gearbox section only, without additional hooks, rollers, or bolts positioned along the rail. This allows the passive door to sit correctly against the active leaf. Lifting the handle operates the internal gearbox, allowing the passive door to be held securely in position. At the same time, the euro cylinder also passes through the 92mm centre position within the gearbox, while the handle operates the lock through a single spindle follower. That follower sits on a 35mm backset measured from the faceplate to the centre of the spindle. The base strip itself measures 1500mm in overall length. And because the rail system is extendable, it can be adjusted to suit taller doors. Lastly, we recommend routinely check that the faceplate fixings remain secure align the door edge. This will help keep the strip firmly seated in the door. The gearbox should also be lubricated periodically to ensure that the internal mechanism continues to operate smoothly.
