It’s commonly used as a replacement where the existing lock has worn or failed. The central latch and deadbolt guarantee a secure close, while the two additional round deadbolts increase the number of solid frame fixing points once the handle is lifted. This type of strip suits doors where a straightforward deadbolt engagement is preferred across the entire frame of the door. Visually, the 16mm square-ended faceplate keeps the lock line crisp along the door edge and matches the straight look of most uPVC and composite doors. It also features a narrow plate which helps sit neatly alongside the existing hinges and keeps. The square ends also provide a tidy finish at the top and bottom of the strip without looking over-sized.
