Description GU Secury 45mm 3 Deadbolt 20mm Radius End Faceplate Automatic Slam Multipoint Door Lock is the ideal replacement for composite and timber doors that throws three deadbolts from a single strip. It replaces GU Secury multipoint door locks with a 45mm backset and 92mm centres. The layout suits doors fitted with a euro cylinder and single spindle handle set. And to provide a non-extendable strip that matches doors already set for a 1770mm overall length. The 20mm radius end faceplate runs the full 1770mm length of the door edge. The centre case sits on a 45mm backset so the handle and cylinder line up on 92mm centres. A latch and primary deadbolt also operate from the centre lock box, with one additional deadbolt sitting 800mm above the centre case, and a second additional deadbolt sitting 790mm below the centre case. The full distance between deadbolt to deadbolt is 1590mm from top to bottom. Technically, closing the door triggers the automatic mechanism and throws the deadbolts without lifting the lever. Turning the key in the euro cylinder secures the centre deadbolt fully. The single spindle follower operates the latch through the handle set, while the 45mm backset positions the handle and cylinder closer to the door edge than a 50mm version. This version does not accept extensions, meaning the door preparation must match the fixed strip length. We recommend that you regularly lubricate the latch and all three deadbolts. Keep alignment should also be checked if the bolts do not enter smoothly on closing. Fixings along the faceplate should be tightened to prevent movement in the door edge.
